Insomniac Games made headlines at PlayStation Showcase last week, with the announcement of Marvel’s Wolverine take everyone completely by surprise. But of course, they doubled down and made another massive announcement on the same show, revealing that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is under construction.

Something else that was confirmed soon after was that beloved actor Tony Todd will play Venom, which was confirmed to be in the game in his trailer. And Todd himself, it seems, is already quite impressed with what Insomniac has in the works. Responding to a question on Twitter, Todd revealed he was working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for about two months, and it’s going to be “massive”.

Of course, there’s very little we know about the game right now, so “massive” could mean a number of things here. However, it’s always reassuring to hear that Insomniac is looking to take things up a notch in the upcoming sequel.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is slated for release in 2023 and will apparently launch exclusively for the PS5, not as a cross-gen game.
