It is a very windy day here and although the temperature was showing 6 C when I went out, the north wind makes it feel much colder than that.
I am not seeing my brother today because I went yesterday.
I have purchased supplies for the week and filled the car with petrol. I have a free day tomorrow. The world is my oyster for the day.
I was up early and listened to the Holocaust service from St Martin in the Field which had an interesting sermon on the Jews and described the hatred that goes back 1000s of years. No burying of history and no shirking what is fact, the Nazis were nothing new in their attitude and in the sermon all genocides around the world were remembered and we as Christians should be doing better.
Val McDermid spoke wisely in A Point of View about the effect of Referendums over the years and what the latest has led us all to think about our politicians right across the board and that she, like all of us, cannot see how we are going to get out of this one nor can she see anyone who can do it and nor is she impressed with the behaviour of our MPs. She handled her 10 minute slot very well without naming names nor apportioning blame but she was perplexed that neither Party have anybody who can obviously get us out of the mess we are in.
