When Spring won't give you tulips...

you have to make your own!

I have a little flower garden in the front yard of my home, and this time of year it can easily look like this...  (It snowed here yesterday...)

Those tulips are trying to bloom, but not getting much help from Mother Nature!  So,  a week ago or so, I used a tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co to sew up this tulip block.

This week I've enjoyed finishing it into a mini quilt to bring a little Spring indoors!  At about 9 x 17, it fits perfectly on my fridge.

I handquilted this project to give it some nice texture.  My handquilting skills are pretty primitive, but even so, I really enjoy the process!

The tulips out in the garden are pretty hardy, so I know they'll bloom soon, but until they do, I'll enjoy this one!

Hope you're enjoying some weekend stitching, friends!
